| Interior Remodel and Landscape, Los Altos Located on a sloped lot with a high tree canopy, the goal was to maximize the amount of natural light that entered the home and keep the feeling of traditional architecture. To achieve this, windows, doors, and archways are complemented by classic wood moldings. Burnished oak hardwood floors carrera marble countertops and hand-made tile carry out the theme. The landscape design created additional living space in an outdoor "family room". Elements of the plan include a shade trellis, koi pond and fountain, and extensive outdoor lighting. Large expanses of lawn were replaced with a beautiful and functional brick patio, lighted brick steps, and quartz slate stepping stones inter-planted with woolly thyme. An English country garden of roses, lavenders, and perennials along with an organic vegetable garden and many fruit trees complete the plan. | ![]() |
| Landscape and Exterior Stonework, Palo Alto Low-profile, bullnosed, stone steps and rails, replete with stone planter urns were added to the front and rear entrances to compliment the homes' Mediterranean style. In the front yard, low boxwood hedges provide a natural boundary to the sidewalk without impeding the view. The spacious back yard includes a pebble patio framed with cobblestone, a lawn surrounded by Califorina native plants and a sotne fountain that adds both visual and aural interest. | ![]() |
